Sponsor a Stupa at Root Institute
The main purpose of sponsoring a stupa is to create merit, and this can be done for individual purposes or as part of your Dharma practice. Stupas can also be sponsored to create merit dedicated to deceased friends or relatives.
There are many stupas adorning the Root Institute gardens.Traditionally, each Kadampa stupa is 27" high and individually carved in red sandstone or white marble by local artisans. The stupa stands on a 3 foot high plinth and has a brass or stainless steel plaque with the dedication engraved. The stupas contain many powerful mantra and the bases are filled with Medicine Buddha tsatsa and auspicious objects.
We are now making stupas of various sizes and designs so that sponsors can choose, for example Namgyalma stupas or Harmony stupas. More details will be posted on the new designs after some time.
