Our Programme Staff

Dr Sanjay Kumar working with a village health commmitteeOur staff has grown by 25% in the year 2006 as we expand our work to reach additional, underserved villages and as we add new programmes in response to demonstrated need. In addition to four homoeopathic physicians and one part-time allopathic physician, we now have two experienced nurses who are dedicated to our Women’s Health and Child Health Services, soon to become an integrated Reproductive and Child Health Service.

We’ve recruited a health educator who has a community health focus, working primarily with our village health work and our health promotion programmes. He helps prepare our Hindi-language “newspaper” that carries health lessons in print to the villages where we work.

Our physiotherapy staff includes two persons skilled in rehabilitation techniques and a technician who fabricates assistive devices in our on-site Orthopedic Workshop.

We’ve created learning opportunities for long-time dispensers in our programme to become nursing assistants who provide bedside care in our hospital and palliative care unit. Other ancillary staff who support the programme include a data entry clerk, dispensers of medications, receptionists, a driver for our trusted “jeep” and ambulance and several housekeepers.
